Social Activation

the ask


Build out an activation to help Hulu generate high quality, shareable content during the 2019 Summer TCAs. Hulu was looking for an activation that would be engaging for the talent and be adaptable for the variety of talent and shows that were present at the TCAs.

The shows included: Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Dollface, Reprisal, Looking for Alaska and more.

STN presented an infinite illusion of talent walking through a hallway of doors that never ends. This concept tied together the theme “It’s a Trap”, the overarching Hulu brand initiative. Talent would walk in and out of the shot and interact with the build in a unique way each time that works for both groups and individuals!


the work

We created a seemingly endless looping video of talent going through the activation. Using 3-4 video templates we applied different camera tricks to really play up the ‘trap’ theme and ensure each video will keep viewers engaged.

STN created renders, designed and developed the set, and managed the on-site activation editing the content on-site to present to the talent in real-time.


the results

Content was posted across Hulu, talent and shows social channels and earned over 1.3 million views on Instagram.
