The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee came to STN Digital looking for a unique mobile activation that can travel across the nation and engage fans in anticipation for Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.

the process


We created a custom visual and interactive experience via a converted semi-truck, The Team USA Journey presented by OREO. 

The Journey is an immersive experience that engages and connects fans with all things Team USA, while also letting fans meet  athletes, collect prizes and more. 

The Team USA Journey presented by OREO features four interactive elements, completely immersing fans in the Olympic and Paralympic journey as they navigate the experience. In the same way that Team USA athletes begin their own Olympic and Paralympic Games experiences, fans begin their journey by leading the team at the Opening Ceremony.

As you move into the vehicle’s second room, you are immersed in the streets of Tokyo with the bright neon signs and the iconic Shibuya Crossing as the backdrop. Room three is the Team USA hype room, which highlights various Olympic and Paralympic sports. It also includes an inspiring word collage on the wall, perfect for capturing social media content. 

In the final room, visitors can enjoy a new and exciting way to interact with Team USA athletes and enjoy samples of free OREO cookies.

STN delivered blueprints, mood boards, set design, sponsorship collaboration, 3D renders and oversaw fabrication and installation of the social truck. 

As a result, Team USA fans are organically sharing their excitement for the Tokyo 2020 Games.
